Day 1353

Today went sideways from the beginning. I woke up to a phone call from a close friend who is in his 80s. He fell and needed help. I got up and out as quickly as I could – not easy when a Floof has to be walked. It took me nearly 90 minutes from waking up to getting to his place. I asked a neighbour to watch Princess Sophie and spent several hours with him. It turns out that his wife (who is also in her 80s and a tiny woman) and his neighbour Sam (a nice guy in his 60s who is also small could not lift him, so when I got there he was still on the floor… as comfortable as he could be. I picked him up and sat him down and we had a coffee before going for brunch and to do some errands.

I came home and picked Sophie up, and I made myself some food. I then went to pick something up in Hamilton. I took Sophie for another walk, and since we came in I’ve been on my balcony with a cigar… vegging out.

Im starting my extreme plan after Canadian Thanksgiving. That’s final. I have another week to go. I will not be on a food funeral… I will be reasonable in my choices all week, and my Thanksgiving dinner will be my last.

Have a great day.
